About the Role
You will work as part of a collaborative and high-performing team, acting for union clients and their members across a broad range of industrial and employment law matters. The role involves advising and representing clients in complex disputes, including disciplinary processes, workplace investigations, dismissals and underpayment matters.
Key Responsibilities
Advise and represent union clients and their members in employment and industrial disputes, including disciplinary matters, misconduct, dismissals and underpayments
Manage a diverse caseload
Appear in or instruct on conciliations, mediations, and court/tribunal proceedings
Draft legal documents, correspondence, and briefs
Build and maintain strong relationships with union clients, members, and key stakeholders
Provide strategic, practical advice aligned with client objectives
Skills & Experience
2 + years PAE in Industrial & Employment Law or a related area
Solid understanding of relevant legislation and case law
Experience working with unions or member-based organisations is highly regarded
Strong drafting, advocacy and negotiation skills
Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
