We're building a new Workplace Relations team at Sydney Water and are looking for talented professionals to help shape the future of employee and industrial relations across one of Australia's largest utilities.

As we strengthen our Workplace Relations Centre of Excellence, we're creating a team that combines expert advice, complex case management, industrial relations strategy, and compliance leadership. Working closely with leaders, unions, People & Culture partners, and key stakeholders, this team will play a critical role in supporting our workforce, managing risk, driving organisational change, and delivering fair, practical, and commercially sound outcomes.

Workplace Relations Advisor - EA 14 (35 hours) - $139,312.15 + super. 

Our Workplace Relations Advisors are the trusted first point of contact for leaders seeking practical employee and industrial relations support. In this role, you'll partner closely with leaders and People & Culture teams to provide guidance on performance management, conduct and behaviour matters, grievances, workplace health issues, organisational change, and policy interpretation.

You'll manage workplace relations casework, support consultation processes, and help ensure compliance with employment legislation, enterprise agreements, and organisational policies. This role is ideal for professionals looking to build their workplace relations expertise while working across a broad range of employee relations matters in a complex and evolving environment.

Workplace Relations Case Management Specialist (Employee Relations Lead) EA 16 (35 hours) - $153,348.95 + super

For experienced workplace relations practitioners, our Case Management Specialist role provides the opportunity to lead the resolution of Sydney Water's most complex employee and industrial relations matters. You'll manage investigations, disputes, organisational change processes, Fair Work Commission matters, and employment-related litigation while providing expert advice on legislative and industrial obligations.

You'll work directly with senior leaders and key stakeholders to deliver balanced, risk-based outcomes, support enterprise bargaining and union engagement activities, and help build workplace relations capability across the organisation. This role suits professionals with deep employee relations expertise who enjoy navigating complexity and influencing outcomes at a strategic level.

Workplace Relations Project Specialist (Industrial Relations Lead) EA 16 (35 hours) - $153,348.95 + super

Our Project Specialist role focuses on the strategic side of workplace relations, leading compliance, governance, and industrial relations projects that support Sydney Water's Workplace Relations 2030 Roadmap. Working across Payroll, Finance, Legal, Risk, and People & Culture, you'll drive initiatives such as wage compliance reviews, payroll remediation programs, enterprise agreement implementation, and workplace relations governance improvements.

This is a unique opportunity for an industrial relations specialist who combines technical expertise with project leadership. You'll play a critical role in strengthening organisational compliance frameworks, managing industrial relations risks, and delivering sustainable improvements that benefit both employees and the business.
